The MPE Program is an 8-week NSF-sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site that takes place over the summer months at the University of Pittsburgh. There are only THREE DAYS left to sign up for the United Way Mario Kart or Super Smash bros tournament. The event will take place at the UHV South building on Saturday, September 23rd from 10 AM – 2:30 PM. There will be food, our Esports room will be open for you to play your own games, and first place in each tournament is going to win a Switch Lite. If any of this sounds interesting to you it will be $15 for one tournament, $25 for both or $5 if you just want to play your own
If you didn’t know, on September 23rd from 10 AM to 2:30 PM in the UHV south building the Jaguar Esports Club is teaming up with the Dow Seadrift Operation to host the “United Way Gaming Tournament” our first public tournament of the semester. There will be both a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament and Mario Kart tournament that are open to anyone in the Victoria community ($15 for one or $25 for both). As well as the new Esports room will be open to the public for you to play your own game and watch the Smash

The Association of Future Advocates, Leaders, and Lawyers (AFALL) wishes all students the best for the Spring semester! With the recent graduation of President Sarah Stanaland and Vice President Vicki Zamarripa, the new administration wanted to introduce themselves and provide a sneak peek of events planned for Spring 2023. Alexandra Tucker, President, is a junior currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in psychology, and Christy Henry, Vice President, is a political science, pre-law student who is graduating in May.

We had a tremendous response regarding the upcoming Off-Campus Jags student organization in the last poll. Thank you for your interest in Off-Campus Jags! As you may noticed, there is a gap in traditional vs. nontraditional students which, is extremely normal in any university. The goal for this organization is to connect students that live off campus with the university, but to also enhance and prepare them for their professional lives upon graduation. We are searching for students to join and help mold this organization to fit the needs of our student peers.

To better encompass the nature of this organization, PV/AC (Pre-Veterinarian/Animal Career) is currently looking for a new name. You can be a part of this! If you enjoy working with animals, getting involved with animal rights issues and volunteering with animal shelters, this is the organization for you.
